With the support of the Embassy of Taiwan, Jaime Viñals starts a new adventure: THE RISE TO THE MOUNTAIN YUSHO Taiwan.

Yushan is known as the Jade Mountain. "With 3.952 meters of altitude above sea level, Yushan is the highest mountain peak in Asia east of the Himalayas, and is located in central Taiwan. Plant and animal species abound here. And the majestic view of the mountain changes with the seasons, lots of vegetation in spring, summer barren rocks, a beautiful view of golden autumn, and snow in the winter.

Jade Mountain consists of eleven peaks, which stand Jade Peak, North Peak, South Peak and East Peak. Jade Peak is the chief of this mountain. In the winter, the Jade Peak usually has a thick layer of snow which makes the whole peak shine like jade, hence its name. From the top of this peak you can see the Taiwan Strait and the Pacific Ocean.

The Guatemalan Jaime Viñals, one of the world's top climbers, has conquered the highest peaks on earth. Jaime arrive in Taiwan on March 5th, and 6th to begin the climb Yushan joined in this new adventure by Miss Chiang-Chen Hsia, Taiwan's leading mountaineer, who in turn has also climbed the 7 summits world's highest .

The rise of these two climbers to Yushan also exhibits a special connotation for the friendship between Guatemala and Taiwan. Also, "Jade Mountain" again with this rise reopens its arms to the climbers, this because since August 2009, access was closed due to changes in their natural environment suffered by Typhoon Morakot.

Ms. Chiang said that the rise will not be easy, since Jaime and she will find a rugged terrain with steep slopes and loose rocks. Still, the experience will be wonderful to conquer the highest peak on the island of Formosa.

Jaime Viñals to return to Guatemala, the Embassy of Taiwan will hold a photo exhibition, which will show the images taken by James during his visit to Yushan, and photographs the beauty of Yushan move to the knowledge of the Guatemalans.
